Blog A Friend - Glennis at the pet show
This is a story told by my sister Grace about my nephew Glennis. I thought it was great and it let's you know what's going on in their lives. Exciting!
P.S. There are 4 new posts including this one. ;)

I want to share my adventure with you. Today, my husband and I took Glennis the the exotic pet show. My son is afraid of most animals. (Or so he has led us to believe.).He started out holding a Guinea pig. Next he held a huge Macaw parrot. He rubbed rabbits, turtles, a skunk, a hedgehog, and even a 4 foot long monitor lizard. He held a baby python(1foot long) and held a boa constrictor. As if that were not enough he had to ride a pony, hold a handful of crickets, a mouse!!!!To end the day he rode a full grown female elephant with his father!!!No one told me when I got pregnant that I would be standing in a large warehouse at the state fairgrounds, terrified because I've seen the videos of "elephants gone wild!".I hold you all responsible for me being ill-prepared for motherhood.

Book Love
Sarah LOVES her books. We try to read a lot of her books to her everyday and she has gotten used to it. This morning she was standing in front of the couch whining because her books were all neatly in the basket out of her reach. She was much happier once they were spread all over the floor.

Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?
A Tia Joy Exclusive (outfit).
A Great Aunt Mildred Exclusive.
I wanted to do some posts that I had been intending to do since we will be in NC for the next couple weeks without internet service. What will we do? I know...chase Sarah away from the steps.

Plums Anyone?
Very hard to find organic plums (or apricots) so this was Sarah's first taste of jar food. It was still organic but a mixture of plums, bananas and rice. She seems to be ok with it. Oh by the way, she eats up those foods that she used to frown at. I don't mix any of them with yogurt or applesauce anymore. Squash. Green beans. She gobbles them all down.
Getting Bold
Sarah is pulling up on EVERYTHING. Today she started pulling up and letting go with BOTH hands. Caught me off guard and of course she fell face first. I really hope she learned something because it was very sad. The next time she did it was with Daddy while he was on the floor playing with her. He said she grabbed hold just in time. She's so proud of what she can do.

Sarah has a good internal clock. She's knows it's time for bath and heads for the bathroom.
Sarah just kept splashing. She was really trying to soak us. Her little face has never been so wet. She didn't seem to mind at first but then she wasn't quite sure how to get the water out of her nose.

New Car Seat
May 7th, 2008
Sarah in her new car seat. I had to order this seat online to get this color. Hopefully the brown won't be as hot as the black. I'm pleased with it so far. I went to an inspection station (nice lady) and she helped me know that I have it in right and I feel pretty confident about it.
The picture below is quite troubling. I used to talk about people like me. Just awful BUT it's keeping the sun off of Sarah!...for now because it is starting to fall down. :( This is about as cool as a mini van...sorry if I'm offending anyone but I have a greater understanding of those who drive vans and I'm uncomfortable.
