Growing Tall

September 30th, 2008
Sarah is 13 months old now and apparently has gotten taller. This is the first time she has reached the door knob enough to turn it. And, below, I turned around and she had climbed on the couch! Oh no! If I just knew she wouldn't jump off.

Climber

Sarah has started climbing...everything. On this particular day, I turned around and she was standing on the diaper box. It's a good thing that she can climb all kinds of stuff at the gym. She's just like her mama!

Read Please

Now Sarah brings us a book and wants to sit in our lap so we can read it to her. Her patience has grown and she usually lets us get through the book once before she reviews it. I think she is trying to memorize them. She picks a few that she likes to repeat throughout the day.

By the way, her favorite words right now are "toes," "dog" and "no." And yes, she's still screaming and singing.

Play At The Gym

September 22nd, 2008
We've signed Sarah up for a class every week. During the trial class she was very unhappy because she was sleepy but this class is earlier. She seemed to have a good time. During a lot of the circle time, she walked off to do her own thing.

"Weeee!"

"Huh?"

"I don't know about this bucket."

The Sarah's New Shoes

September 20th, 2008
We received Sarah's new shoes today. I ordered them online. Didn't want an all pink pair but didn't want to break the bank on summer shoes. I could tell that she needed to stop wearing the size 4s. So here are her new size 5s. "Hmmm. Let me see."
"They feel ok."
We took the shoes out to break them in at Children's Garden.
Daddy and Sarah walking down the hill towards the lake. It was a beautiful day. "But Ma, my toes are getting dirty."

Facing Forward

September 17th, 2008
We turned Sarah's car seat around a couple days after her birthday. She stares out the windows and is able to stretch her legs out now. She's getting so big. :')
The picture: We were on our way to a birthday party this morning and it has gotten cool her over the last couple days thus the sweater.

Not So Bad

September 13th, 2008
Sarah is getting accustomed to cow's milk. Some days she loves it and some days she refuses it. It seems to depend on how hungry or tired she is.
Sometimes she let's the cup sit on her tray.

"Good job!"
"I love you, cup!"
"You drink, mama!"
"This stuff's not so bad today."

A Day In The Life

These are a few pictures that I thought were funny and captures the highlights of a typical day in the life of Sarah. "Where's Sarah? There she is!"
"I'm sitting here to eat right?"
Red hot hair.
Sarah leans over the couch to look at the pictures of her cousins.
"All done?"

Children's Garden

September 5th, 2008
We met up with some other moms and kids at Children's Garden on Friday. The coming hurricane Hanna had cooled things down a little so play outside was bearable. Sarah had a good time walking around. She promptly fell asleep in the car. After that she had her first real fever because of her shots on Thursday at her 1 year well visit. Thank God it didn't last very long. She was 20 lbs and 13 ounces (with diaper) and 30 inches.

She picked up some sand and put some on another kids and kept it moving. I don't like this sandbox so I was ready to move on too.

Most of the place is downhill so Sarah was running because she had no choice.

She sat down for a little bit and felt the grass.

Playing With Cousin

August 28th, 2008

Sarah was so worn out. She wanted to go to sleep the second Glennis left.

Like cousin like cousin. Too close to the tv. Move on.

More of Sarah's First Birthday Celebration

August 30th, 2008

Sarah did great finding Elmo's nose of Tia Joy's balloon.

Sarah couldn't take her eyes off Elmo.

Auntie Grace is a lot of fun.

"I love Elmo!" Ok. She didn't say that but she's never paid much attention to Sesame Street but now she really likes Elmo.
