New Shoes

March 29th, 2008
Grandma bought Sarah new shoes for Easter. We went out to the mall around 10:30am and Sarah couldn't care less. She didn't really help us pick them out. And it was a new experience for me because I could pick anything. I'm used to "what do you have in a...?" But no...just pick. It was strange and harder than I thought. So we went with white, because pink is so limiting, and since there are still some cool days, we decided to wait on the open toe sandles. They were so cute too. Soon. "Huh?"
Her feet are not as long as I thought.
"Yawnnnn. Are we done yet?"
"Yeah. They'll do." :) Thanks, Grandma and Gramdpa.

Visit Home Part IV - The End

I never did finish putting pictures from home on the blog. Here they are.
March 15th, 2008 Playing with Grandma.
Grandpa is taking a good look at Sarah.
March 16th, 2008
Sarah wanted to drive part of the way home...
...but the battery died while we were at the rest stop. Maybe next time. A couple of good samaritans with a big ole dog gave us a jump.

We were all happy to be home and watch some basketball but Sarah was happiest to dance on the couch with Daddy.

Sad, Happy, Angry, Excited and Frustrated

...all in one day. March 27th, 2008. A day in pictures.

Carrots?

March 26th, 2008

Like with most foods, Sarah was ok with the carrots the first time. Maybe she doesn't like them after they've been frozen? Anyway. She ate some carrots the next day but didn't have much tolerance for them (or the green beans). Yes, carrots got mixed with something else but I won't share what. :p
In case you have a baby or are about to have one, and don't know, carrots stain clothes.

What Do I Need A Bib For?

Ok. It took me 2 days to finally get this video uploaded.

March 25th, 2008
It's been awhile since I posted a video. They take so long to upload.
By the way, we usually run the blender or vacuum when Sarah is sleep or one of us is holding her. Today I was feeling lucky so I put her in the intellitainer and ran the blender to puree her carrots. Of course, she freaked out. I ended up having to call Ron on the webcam so he could talk to her and I took the blender in the back bathroom. Picture of Sarah frowning at carrots coming soon!

Happy Nap

Thank you, Jesus! Sarah just went down for a nap without fighting. Doesn't happen too often so I just had to take a moment and share how thankful I am!

Sarah's Grandma and Grandpa Visit

March 22nd, 2008 Sarah and Grandma makes funny noises.
Sarah has green beans for the first time.
Despite the faces, she ate them up. She didn't the next time though. She's been whining while I'm trying to feed her squash too. Last night she had green beans hidden in banana yogurt. Yep, it's as gross as it sounds.

"Sarah! Stop that trying to walk!"

Teeth and Playgrounds and Brushed Hair Oh My

March 23rd, 2008
Happt Easter! Sarah wore all pink for Easter. We used the pink cart cover thing that Linda gave us and she sat in the cart like a big big girl! She seemed to be amazed and enjoyed the view.
March 21st, 2008
Sarah went for her first swing. You see she automatically held o to the chain. She kept her mouth open like thi sthe whole time at the park like she was showing off her tooth to George and Anneliese.

March 22nd, 2008
Sarah was pretty pleased with her first slide down the sliding board. Happy Granddaddy's Birthday!!!
March 24th, 2008
The second tooth on the bottom broke thru so no more one tooth Sarah. This is what Sarah's hair looks like after I brush it and them it goes back to normal. The bald spot on the back of her head looks kinda like a heart now. Doesn't show up well on camera. The hair seems to be growing in a bit.

Gummy Grin Not All Gummy

This just in! A tooth! Is just in. No more just below the surface. No more "I can feel it coming." It's here and Sarah likes showing it off. :)

First Word?

Yesterday, Sarah and I were in the grocery store. We had checked out and were getting ready to leave. Sarah was in the car seat, in the shopping cart. She had arranged her blanket to be under one leg and on top of the other. I said to her "are you comfortable?" She replied "No." Clear as day. I looked around because I needed someone else to hear that. No one. after that she went back to her usual language.

I guess I say no to Sarah on a regular. "No, that's Mommy's." Or "NO!" when her hands try to interrupt diaper change. It's an easy word to say. But from a 6 month old's mouth!? My 6 month old? Whoa!

Don't know if this counts as her first word. Did she really understand what she was saying? It was a word none the less. Humm. She said Dada the same day so...

By the way, I rubbed Sarah's gums today and they have broken through. I know the one on the left (my left) has and maybe the one on the right too. (see previous post)
