Plums Anyone?

May 12th, 2008
Very hard to find organic plums (or apricots) so this was Sarah's first taste of jar food. It was still organic but a mixture of plums, bananas and rice. She seems to be ok with it. Oh by the way, she eats up those foods that she used to frown at. I don't mix any of them with yogurt or applesauce anymore. Squash. Green beans. She gobbles them all down.

Getting Bold

Sarah is pulling up on EVERYTHING. Today she started pulling up and letting go with BOTH hands. Caught me off guard and of course she fell face first. I really hope she learned something because it was very sad. The next time she did it was with Daddy while he was on the floor playing with her. He said she grabbed hold just in time. She's so proud of what she can do. May 13th, 2008

Those eyes.

Sarah has a good internal clock. She's knows it's time for bath and heads for the bathroom.

May 14th, 2008

Sarah just kept splashing. She was really trying to soak us. Her little face has never been so wet. She didn't seem to mind at first but then she wasn't quite sure how to get the water out of her nose.

Sarah has been screaming like this for a very long time. I thought I would share with you all. Just imagine this in the echo of the bathtub. :)

New Car Seat

May 7th, 2008
Sarah in her new car seat. I had to order this seat online to get this color. Hopefully the brown won't be as hot as the black. I'm pleased with it so far. I went to an inspection station (nice lady) and she helped me know that I have it in right and I feel pretty confident about it.
The picture below is quite troubling. I used to talk about people like me. Just awful BUT it's keeping the sun off of Sarah!...for now because it is starting to fall down. :( This is about as cool as a mini van...sorry if I'm offending anyone but I have a greater understanding of those who drive vans and I'm uncomfortable.

"I love you, Daddy!"

Just More Pictures

It's been awhile since I posted some pictures so here are a few that let you know what Sarah is up to. I guess it looks like she spends a lot of time in her highchair. Just three times a day but that's when she's sitting still. April 28th, 2008
Sarah had spiral pasta for the first time. Pasta is a good finger food. She enjoyed it.

May 1st, 2008

The next time I gave her pasta, she had gotten really good with it. The first time the pasta appeared on her head, I thought for sure it was an accident but a few seconds later, there was another piece. :)

Caught On Tape

May 4th, 2008

I finally was able to get Sarah standing up in the Pack N Play on video. She was so fast that I had to set her back down a couple times so that I could run to teh camera!

Mastering Her Skills

May 1st, 2008

Sarah is working on crawling with both knees down. I spent nap time yesterday moving stuff around and tying up cords, etc. I measured for a gate that will hopefully go around the plants and the fireplace. I will order one soon I hope.
