Happy Ron's graduation!!!!! I was moved to tears by how happy my husband was yesterday. I am so proud of him. Thank you to all of those who have supported us while Ron worked so hard to accomplish this goal.

It's been awhile so I thought I would give you lots of pictures. We are all doing well. Sarah is growing and learning. She can sit on her own briefly. She can stand in our laps by holding on to our shoulders. She's grabbing and throwing her pacie. She's smiling and laughing a lot. She's so much fun.

Give Thanks

Dissertation Defense
November 12th, 2007

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. There were many blessings. We had a great time with Ron's family at Rick and Rachael's house and with my family at my Mom's house. (see the slide show on the right) The food was way too good for us trying to recover from a big weight gain but the being with family was the best part.

Our niece Dashona announced that her plans for after high school graduation is to go into the Air Force. She tested well and has lots of options for career placement. Our nephew Robert is getting so tall. Tavara was happy playing and screaming. Octavia sucked her thumb with an occasional "No." :) Keyon was in my thoughts and prayers. And Little Glennis was all laughs playing with his Nana.

Ron has defended, revised and completed his dissertation! Yay!!!!! (see photo above) Huge weight off his shoulders. On to our plans for the future.

Sarah didn't talk or smile much during the day. I think there was too much for her to see and hear to concentrate on. Later that evening after a second nap, she smiled and giggled.

I returned to work on Wednesday and we all survived well. The bulk of my sadness was in the morning...saying goodbye to her in her crib knowing that she would be looking for me when she woke up...driving off into the darkness to make a paycheck.

I am thankful for:

My job

My husband

All Ron's hard work on his dissertation

All my nieces and nephews including my friends children

My mother, sister and brother-in-law

Ron's parents and siblings and their spouses

My friends

Yam souffle

Rice crispy treats

Turkeylurky

Mobility

What are you thankful for?
