In search of the Great Pumpkin.

A little boy dressed as Batman gave Sarah this pumpkin and it was the only one she wanted.

Uh oh. Sarah enjoyed dropping the pumpkin repeatedly.

The nice pumpkin patch man gave Sarah a ride to the car in his red wagon.

Cabin Fever

It was pretty cool here today. We stayed in pretty much all day...except I went to the movies all by myself. Felt like grown up.

Workout

Sarah is starting to warm up to the gym. She seems to have more fun each time. Last class, there was a new lady (working at the gym) which made it obvious that Sarah likes the other ladies. Sarah didn't want the new lady anywhere near her.

I've been taking Sarah to storytime at the library thinking that one day she will get used to it and bored enough to sit and listen. I don't think it will be anytime soon but I will keep trying.

Sarah blows kisses more readily than she waves and says hi.

She enjoyed walking around with the pumpkin the librarian gave her.

Birthday Celebration Part 2

October 5th, 2008

The animals are so close.

This tiger kept pacing back and forth.

On Sunday afternoon, I took Sarah to one of her SAHM group friend's birthday party and a real gymnastics place. She liked the holla hoops and played with more today at the gym. She walked on a couple balance beams (which she has gotten pretty good at) and a long long trampoline. She played with medicine balls and on mats. She had fun.

I really really wanted to play but I had to keep an eye on Sarah.

Birthday Celebration Part 1

My sweet nephew Glennis had his 3rd birthday on Sunday. We tried to spend the weekend having fun since we couldn't be there to celebrate with him.

Friday late afternoon, we went to the park. Sarah went down the slide alone for the first time. I don't think she was ready.

On Saturday afternoon, we went to a festival downtown which was one of the best I've ever been to. The restaurants in the area had sample sizes of their food for between $1 and $4. That's it. Nothing else...oh there was live music. We ate ourselves silly. Now I really would like to go to Ruth's Chris.

October 5th, 2008

We spent Sunday late morning, at the zoo. The zoo is only about 20 minutes away and very nice. Lotsa shade. We saw penguins, lion cubs, tigers, a brown bear, flamingos, elephants, giraffes, sea lions, lotsa monkeys, vultures and other birds. We didn't even see all the animals and we skipped the aquarium and gardens this time. Hopefully, we will go back soon. Sarah paid more attention to the animals this time.

BREAKTHROUGH

October 3rd, 2008
Sarah's top teeth have been just below the surface for awhile but today...there it was...a big tooth! I checked yesterday so it broke through within the last 24 hours. Hard so see in this picture. On the left top, right behind the bottom tooth. (Yeah, I'm probably the only one that can see it. Maybe a better picture soon.)

This was on a cool morning. Waiting for storytime at the library. Sarah did not sit and listen to one story. She banged on the door, messed up the librarian's display by grabbing the books and the mini blinds, screaming, etc. I think we'll skip it today and play wither her v.smile instead.

We went to campus to have lunch with Daddy and ran into Spiderman but I'm pretty sure Spiderman was a girl so that kinda messes up Glennis' definition of Spiderman.

Yesterday I took Sarah to an inflatables place. She was scared of them but loved the video games.
